Esta película es una reinterpretación de las vivencias del director y guionista Sebastián Parra, nacido en sur de La Guajira en un pequeño pueblo llamado Urumita de donde se inspiró para crear el universo atemporal de SEMILLA DEL DESIERTO.

This film is a reinterpretation of the experiences of director and screenwriter Sebastián Parra, who was born in the south of La Guajira in a small town called Urumita. It was there that he found the inspiration to create the timeless universe of SEMILLA DEL DESIERTO.

En un universo desértico, Caviche y Chelina se encuentran ante una difícil decisión cuando descubren un embarazo inesperado. Chelina decide interrumpirlo debido al temor de enfrentar la ira de su padre violento. Se ven obligados a aventurarse en el mundo del contrabando de gasolina. Juntos, emprenden un viaje a través de la ruta del infierno, encontrándose con desafíos y difíciles confesiones. En medio de la aridez del camino, su amor será puesto a prueba mientras luchan por sobrevivir y encontrar una salida.

In a desert universe, Caviche and Chelina face a difficult decision when they discover an unexpected pregnancy. Fearing the wrath of her violent father, Chelina decides to terminate it. Forced to seek a way out, they venture into the dangerous world of gasoline smuggling.

Together, they embark on a journey through the Route of Hell, encountering challenges and painful confessions. Amid the arid landscape, their love will be tested as they fight to survive and find a way forward.

La nueva película de SOLAR CINEMA, ópera prima del director Sebastián Parra R y producida por Andrés Gómez D, tuvo su premiere mundial como parte de la competencia oficial de la 28th TALLINN BLACK NIGHTS FILM FESTIVAL y se le otorgó la Taiga de Plata en el festival SPIRIT OF FIRE de Rusia en 2025.

Semilla del Desierto, filmed and created in one of the most breathtaking locations in Colombia.

The new film by SOLAR CINEMA, the debut feature of director Sebastián Parra R and produced by Andrés Gómez D, It had its world premiere as part of the official competition at the 28th TALLINN BLACK NIGHTS FILM FESTIVAL and was awarded the Silver Taiga at the SPIRIT OF FIRE festival in Russia in 2025.
